Hello! My name is Yas (pronoun indifferent), and I am in the class of 2026. I am a proud immigrant and a queer person of color (QPOC). I immigrated from Iran when I was 18 and started my new journey as a settler in Canada. I currently have no furry companions, but I am a huge fan of cats (big or small), and it is my dream to work with wild cats one day, specifically the Asiatic cheetah. Being a member of DIVERSE means so much to me and I am truly hoping that through this club, we can raise awareness about many important subjects outside of the academic world that will help shape us as veterinarians.
