Canine Action Project Spay Program

From Canine Action Project:

“Alone we can do so little; together, we can do so much” – Helen Keller

43 dogs were spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed and returned to their families this past weekend through our partnership with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Over 600 dogs have been spayed through this program since 2015!

WCVM Diverse club members volunteered with CAP to assist with the Sign Up phase. But Charlie & Azy wanted to help even more …They went above and beyond to build and donate a fully insulated dog house to 2 lucky gals that were spayed through the program! And their incredible drive and selflessness doesn’t stop there….they also reached out to Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets who generously donated brand new collars and to top it off, our friends at Save Rez Dogs supplied personalized name tags!

WOW! What an amazing team effort! So many people and organizations coming together to help humanely manage dog populations in Saskatchewan’s First Nations communities
